What we've been up to...

What a crazy weeks filled with lots of fun activities.

Joe's birthday celebrations (August 30 with his family and September 4 with mine). Picture below of Joe, Great-Niece Emily, Niece Nikki, and Leah.

Leah started gymnastics and dancing (swimming comes this Saturday). LOVES both of them. Already practicing her dance moves at home.

Our good friends, Rick and Jaclyn, baptised their baby girl, Kaysee on Sunday 9/6/09. Below is Kaysee with her Godparents (Andrea, Zach and Lindsay).

Yesterday, we spent the day at the Renaissance Festival with our friends, Mike and Sara and their son, Michael. Leah and Michael had a blast- as always. We could not get Leah to ride a horse, but we did get her on the pony. After a rocky start, she really enjoyed it...even asked to go a second time. She was not a fan of the jousting show- well, it was okay until the gun shot, then she thought it was too loud and wanted to leave.

So, we have been working on getting the guest bedroom cleaned out to make room for baby. This morning I was organizing some of the stuff in that room. Leah seemed to be playing nicely by herself. She was working on an art project at the kitchen table. When I came down to check on her, I noticed some post-its on the wall. I asked her to take them down since they don't belong on the wall. She started to take them down, and I noticed some struggle, only to hear her say..."but I glued them on." YOU WHAT???? I couldn't believe it. Leah typically is not one to do such a thing. So, the glue has been put away, and she is only allowed to use it under supervision! Luckily, I did get the paper removed without a single scratch to the wall. How? Well, I used my handy dandy scrapper's delight- Un-Du. Love that stuff.
