March for Babies

We walked in the March for Babies walk today. It was cold (mid 40s) and raining. Leah, myself, my mom, Tiff, Thea, Sara (friend) and her son Michael (Leah's little buddy) survived the rain and surprisingly, none of us melted! After all, we are all pretty darn sweet!:) So, for anyone who is wondering...kids rubber boots- waterproof, adult hiking shoes/tennis shoes- not waterproof!

Even though the weather did not cooperate, I am proud that we were able to raise money for this great cause, and at least it wasn't snowing!

March for Babies is coming soon!

We will be walking in the March for Babies walk in just 12 days. This cause is near and dear to us because Leah was born at 33 weeks. We hope to help make a difference in the lives of others by helping an organization with a mission to help babies!

The March of Dimes uses 77 cents of every dollar raised in March for Babies to support research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives. And your funds are used to bring comfort and information to families whose baby was born too soon, or sick.

Easter, Anniversary and lunch

It's been a busy few days! Easter was a great day spent at Dan and Tiff's house with us, my parents, as well as Tiff's sister, parents and aunt. The girls had a blast- Easter Bunny, Egg hunt and lots of play! Of course, there was plenty of yummy food as well. You will have to wait for the pictures because the computer is acting up and I just don't feel like figuring out what is wrong with it!!

Yesterday was our 7th year anniversary. We spent it pretty low key with grilling steaks at home! We have lots of fun stuff going on in the next few weeks that we decided we would just stay home.

Today was busy. Leah and I went swimming. Next, off to the eye doctor-- good news, patching now every other day! Then, we picked up my mom and headed to Hinkley to meet Aunt Vicky, Tiffanie, Thea and Delila. Another great time together. Finally back home to swimming class! Leah was one tired girl to say the least when we did actually make it back home.

Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny

Leah and I had a busy day of coloring Easter eggs and visiting the Easter Bunny.

I was amazed at how independent she was with the egg coloring. She did the dipping herself, and was even able to pick the egg out of the cup with the scooper. She had so much fun dipping that each egg was dipped at least 3 times!

We also went to see the Easter Bunny. Leah was so excited. I was not going to bring her this year because last year was a disaster, but she asked me a few days ago when we were going to see the Easter Bunny. So, I obliged and we went today. She was going to do it- sit with him all by herself, but at the last minute she tried to run away! She said that I had to sit with her, so, again, I obliged. Well, at least she is smiling!
